Staff Profile

Jonathan Chu

Professional Background

Jonathan Chu joined the SEI Innovation Center as a software developer in November 2012. His background is in developing technology for various unmanned systems, ranging between  large autonomous ground vehicle development, communications systems, and small Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) robots for military and law enforcement use.

Chu brings over 10 years of experience working with C/C++ and assembly focused on low-level code and embedded systems development. His experience in a heavily inter-disciplinary field has aided Chu in understanding complex problems and allows him to translate traditionally non-software problems into software driven solutions.

Prior to joining the SEI, Chu served as Electrical Engineering and Embedded System Team Lead for RE2 Inc.'s effort to develop modules for the initial Advanced Explosive Ordinance Disposal Robotic System (AEODRS) prototype.

He enjoys using technology to develop solutions for real world problems.
