Emil Mathew

Emil Mathew is a machine learning engineer in the CERT Division at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute. He has supported national security efforts for over 10 years in civilian, military, and contractor roles.

Before joining the SEI, Mathew supported the Defense Intelligence Agency as a data scientist/machine learning engineer, applying data science/ML techniques to analyze and produce intelligence products. He has also supported the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, the U.S. Air Force, the Test Resource Management Center, the Army Evaluation Center, and several Army program executive offices in various capacities. He is experienced in cyber testing, engineering, and policy as well as the application of machine learning and data science methods and tools to various domains.

Mathew is a cryptologic warfare officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
