SEI-Authorized Insider Threat Program Evaluator
What Services Do SEI-Authorized Insider Threat Program Evaluators offer?
Insider Threat Program Evaluators help organizations gain a better understanding of the effectiveness of their established insider threat programs using the CERT Insider Threat Program Evaluation methodology. SEI-Authorized Insider Threat Program Evaluators are able to provide these SEI-based evaluations under the sponsorship of SEI Partner organizations.
Benefits of the Insider Threat Program Evaluator Authorization
This credential will benefit
- insider threat program managers who wish to gain additional knowledge to support their efforts in developing and operating their insider threat programs
- those interested in licensing the CERT methodology and tools to perform insider threat program evaluations within their organization or in other organizations
Upon completing the authorization process, participants will be entitled to refer to themselves as an SEI-Authorized Insider Threat Program Evaluator and will be listed as SEI-Authorized Individuals as long as they are sponsored by an SEI Partner that has chosen to appear in the SEI Partner Directory.
Who should get this credential?
The application process for this credential is available to SEI Insider Threat Program Evaluator Certificate holders.
Term and Renewal
There is no term limit for Insider Threat Program Evaluator authorization once you are authorized to conduct insider threat program evaluations. The only maintenance requirement is that you continue to be sponsored by an SEI Partner for Insider Threat.
Summary of Fees
There are fees for courses, training, and an exam. SEI Partners pay annual support fees for authorizations. Training fees are set by the SEI. For more information about fees, please contact the SEI at certification-info@sei.cmu.edu.
How to Apply
- Meet entry criteria
- Successfully complete the SEI Insider Threat Program Evaluator Certificate.
- You must be sponsored by an SEI Partner for Insider Threat.
- Apply
- Your sponsoring organization submits the Application for Candidate Sponsorship.
- You sign the Code of Professional Conduct Commitment Form.
Only complete applications can be accepted. You will receive a confirmation email when submission is complete.
Authorization Process
Upon successful completion of the application, the sponsored SEI-Authorized evaluator will receive access to a toolkit via a secure portal with the templates and workbook artifacts for conducting CERT Insider Threat Program Evaluations. Materials include instructions on how to submit evaluations for review and scoring by CERT Insider Threat experts.
