Director of Talent Management
Dan Bauer brings more than 20 years of human resource experience to the role of SEI Director of Talent Management. Before joining the SEI in 2015, Bauer held a number of HR leadership positions that incorporated human resource functional areas such as compensation, diversity, employee relations, recruiting, talent engagement, federal compliance, and succession planning. His most recent positions included Human Resources Manager for Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science, Human Resources Manager for the RAND Corporation, and Human Resources Category Strategy Consultant for the Denali Group. Previously Bauer held HR leadership roles in companies in the high-tech, construction, banking, and manufacturing industries.
A Pittsburgh native, Bauer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westminster College and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Slippery Rock University. His professional certifications include Human Capital Strategist (HCS) from the Human Capital Institute, the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute. He is a professional society member of the Society of Human Resource Management and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources.
