Senior Member of Technical Staff
Responsible for advising and assisting government program offices in the acquisition of software-intensive systems. Focus areas include requirements engineering, measurement, product & process quality.
Prior to joining the SEI in 2005, he served 17 years in the Air Force and 3 years as a DoD Civilian. During his career, he held positions in Program Control, Project, Acquisition, and Financial Management, Software Quality Assurance, Software Engineering Process Groups, and Software Verification and Validation. He was also an SEI authorized Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Based Assessment for Internal Process Improvement (CBA-IPI) Lead Assessor for the Air Force. Mr. Boyd holds a Level III certificate in Program Management and Level II certificates in Comm/Computer Systems Management and Business and Financial Management from the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
